Private Event/party Rental

Private event rentals include full use of the mansion, both inside and outside, as well as use of tables, chairs, access to free public parking in a nearby lot, furniture setup/cleanup, and other complimentary features! Please remember to factor in time for own event prep and breakdown/cleanup when you reserve your rental, as there's no additional time provided for caterer access, load-out, cleanup, etc. There are no discounts for partial use.

Best of all, there's no tax on your rental, since the money goes towards supporting the programs of our nonprofit organization, The Western Justice Center! By booking The Maxwell House, you are assisting valuable programs that promote conflict resolution and social justice and fight bullying, racism, homophobia, sexism and other forms of hate, bias and oppression. Thank you for your support!


Private Rentals (weekends only) Include...

12 hour use (11am-11pm)· private access · indoor/outdoor
Choice of Saturday or Sunday rental with prep time the Friday before your event. Only one major event per weekend will be booked. 
Private use of The Maxwell House from 11am-11pm (12hrs) on the day of the event. This time can not be altered. 
Private use includes the living room, dining room, library, foyer, mezzanine, kitchen, and garden patios.
Prep time in the space from 1pm-5pm (4hrs) the Friday before the event. You may use this time to decorate, schedule deliveries, etc. (NEW!)
Rental pickups may take place Monday morning following your event (a budget-friendly option!)
Dance floor (NEW!) - Required for all events where dancing will take place. Our dance floor is located at the back of the Foyer. If you wish to have the dance floor relocated or removed it can be arranged for an additional $150.

    *Required: Event insurance coverage proof from WedSafe or any accredited insurance agency that can meet the requirements of 1-million in general liability + alcohol. We do not receive any money for this, just proof of coverage. Clients report this cost to be between $100-$175 for a 1-day plan.
