Weddings at the Maxwell House, Pasadena
The Maxwell House is ideal for small to medium-sized weddings. The outside courtyard can accommodate up to 120 seated guests, and the indoor main room can accommodate up to 100 seated guests.
Q: What are the dates of availability?
A: The Maxwell House is available as an event venue seven days a week between the hours of 11:00am-11:00pm. To find out if specific dates are available, please contact us directly.
Q: What is the capacity of the Maxwell House?
A: The Maxwell House can provide a perfect setting inside or outside on our beautiful patio, for
small to medium-sized wedding ceremonies and receptions. A ceremony on the patio will hold 120 seated guests. For receptions, the patio will hold 120 guests while the inside will hold 100.
Q: What is provided in terms of tables and chairs?
A: The Maxwell House provides twelve 60 inch round tables and 120 wooden banquet chairs.
Q: How do we handle catering?
A: We do not provide catering; however, we have a list of recommended caterers. You can also use your own caterer with the exception of food trucks, which are prohibited.
Q: Does our caterer have access to the kitchen?
A: Yes. The Maxwell House is outfitted with a professional kitchen that includes a prep station, commercial refrigerator, small freezer (no ice machine), stove with oven, convection oven, food warmer, two microwaves, beverage refrigerator, dish washing machine and pantry space.
Q: Are silverware, linens, and, dinnerware provided?
A: We do not provide silverware, linens, or dinnerware.
Q: How do we handle bar service?
A: Renters are responsible to hire their own bar service. The service of alcohol is permitted.
Q: Is there a dance floor?
A: You must arrange with a party rental company to rent dance floor.
Q: What nearby accommodations do you recommend for our out-of-town guests?
A: Nearby accommodations include The Langham Huntington Hotel and Spa, Westin Pasadena, Hilton Pasadena Hotel, Sheraton Pasadena Hotel, Old Pasadena Courtyard by Marriott, and Hilton Garden Inn Arcadia/Pasadena.
Q: What audio/visual tools are the Maxwell House outfitted with?
A: The Maxwell House has a P/A system, microphones with stand, TV/DVD/DVR unit, LCD Projector and screen, and a podium.
Q: Where do guests park?
A: Free Courthouse parking if available. If not, parking must be arranged with Pasadena Elks Lodge located a block from our facility. Their contact information is (626) 449-6010.

Q: Who is responsible for cleanup?
A: The renter is responsible for cleanup.
Hours: Music must end by 10 pm. Guest, catering and other professional services must leave no later than 11 pm.
Music: Located in the heart of the historic "Millionaire's Row" residential district, live band/DJ music is not permitted outdoors only acoustic music (string quartets/jazz trios) are allowed.
Decorations: Facility user is prohibited to use glitter, confetti, streamers, and seeds. No adhesive materials, nails, tacks, etc. allowed. The use of candles is permitted. However candles and luminaries must be in containers with a minimum 3” clearance, and approved prior to event.
Insurance: The renter is required to have event insurance.
Smoking and animals/pets are prohibited on the premises.
